Dr Phillip Donato OAM (Lions District 201c1)

Phillip Donato OAM KCHS OSI is a practicing Chiropractic Consultant graduating from RMIT and Murdoch Universities with post grad qualifications in rehabilitation. A co-principal/director of a multidisciplinary health practice for over 35 years. Was co-instrumental in the legitimacy and shaping of healthcare regulation and accreditation both in Australia and internationally. In that time, has ongoingly led and chaired a diverse range of professional, government and community boards and organisations both locally and internationally. A recipient of numerous professional and community awards including an OAM in 2011.” A member of the Lions Club of Adelaide Italian since 1999, he was appointed as Trustee of the Lions Medical Research Foundation in 2003. In that time he has chaired the Futures Directions Subcommittee, the Research Committee, and currently LMRF Board Chairman since 2016.

Dr Ainslie Derrick-Roberts PhD (Lions District 201c1)

Dr Ainslie Derrick-Roberts is a post-doctoral research associate based at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia. Her research focuses on developing new treatments which don’t rely on the use of antibiotics for chronic wounds particularly in diabetes, infection, and burn injury. She was awarded her PhD in 2007 through the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Adelaide. In her Lions life, she is a Charter member of the Lions Club of Norwood which she has been involved with for the past 6 years. She has served on the Board of her Club and been Club President, and is currently on the District Cabinet for 201C1 in the Global Leadership Team. She was appointed a Trustee of the Lions Medical Research Foundation in 2014, before which she was on the Future Directions Sub-committee of the LMRF. She has been the current Research Chair of the LMRF since 2018.
